Are some sport bikes more 'comfortable' than others?

Hey guys,

In the past I rode a CBR 600RR but sold it after to years, because the pain in my wrist and knees was just too strong. I exchanged it for a cruiser.

Of course I know that a supersport bike has the most aggressive rider position of all bikes, but I wonder if there are some which are more comfortable to ride than others? (btw I'm not very tall) I wouldn't miss my cruiser now but I am longing for that sportive feeling again.
