Got hit today

As the title suggests, I was hit by a guy driving a mini van while stopped at a red light. I’m perfectly fine, didn’t even fall over. He rear ended me while I was stopped and the bike basically shot out from under me, leaving me standing in the street. My bike has amazingly little damage and I ended up driving away after a moment with just his phone number.

Here’s my question:

I was more or less on shock after it happened and wasn’t really thinking about getting the guys insurance information or anything like that. Do any of you have advice on how to handle a situation after being hit?
